This feature is useful to those of you that key in data fast and are currently finding the system is not reacting quickly enough to the speed of your typing. 

Calculations are on by default. This means that the pause feature is off by default. The picture below shows where you can see this. 

To take advantage of the feature, you will need to click the “Calculations are ON” link. This will change the screen as follows:

a.    You are now advised that “Calculations are PAUSED”

b.    There is a clear bar near the top of the screen advising how and when calculations will run

c.    Clicking either the “Calculations are PAUSED” link, or the “Resume” link, will turn auto calculations back on again and the screen will change back to the first picture above.

If you use the excel upload feature to populate tables in your return, you will not notice much difference when using this feature.
