We apply a status to each return so that we may track progress within the Returns System.

To find out what status your return is, hover over the status code within the Returns Navigator:

The most relevant status codes are:

• Open returns
  • Not submitted to ABC
    • NC - Return visible to client
      The return has been created and is available for entry
    • FA - Notification sent
      We have emailed the returns contact notifying them that the return is available
    • ECE - Publisher has control for data entry
      The publisher has viewed the return and has saved it
    • EEE - External Auditor has control for data entry and they have made changes
      The External Auditor has viewed the return and has saved it
    • EEL - External Auditor has control but they have not made changes
      The External Auditor has viewed the return and not saved it
  • Submitted to ABC
    • WCL - Within Draft Certificate Review Period and Return locked
      The return has been submitted and cannot be edited
    • WCE - Within Draft Certificate Review Period and Return not locked
      The return has been submitted and can still be edited
    • WCL - Active Holds for Return in Draft Certificate Review Period and Return Locked
      The return has been submitted and cannot be edited, there are holds applied
    • WHE - Active Holds for Return in Draft Certificate Review Period and Return not Locked
      The return has been submitted and can still be edited, there are holds applied
    • AR - Release date has been set
      The return has been approved and is scheduled for release
• Closed returns
  • CA - Released with Return Audit not COMPLETE
    The return has been released, however the return has not been audited
  • CC - Released with Return Audit COMPLETE
    The return has been released and the return has been audited
  • CAR - Released with Audit Report
    The released return has been audited and has been re-released with amendments
  • RE, RS, RA - AUDIT/INSPECTION REPORT in progress
    The released return is being audited and amendments are required - Our audit team is working on the return
